Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is the official governing body of the Apostolic Church of Pentecost (ACOP). There are currently 4 Regional Trustees and 3 Trustees at Large serving on the board. The President of ACOP also serves as a non-voting member on the Board fo Trustees.

Rev. Wes Mills
President & Chairman

Wes pastored in Edmonton, Alberta for a number of years before making the move to Calgary in 1997 when he assumed the role of ACOP’s Director of Administration. He was elected as President in 2004 and is one of the longest serving leaders of ACOP, second only to ACOP’s founder Rev. Frank Small.

Wes serves as President and CEO, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and ACOP’s spiritual father.

Rev. Chris Westby
Pacific Region – Pastor

Chris is the lead pastor of of the Sonrise Full Gospel Church in Surrey, British Columbia. He serves as the Regional Trustee for ACOP’s Pacific region.

Rev. Dawn Graburn
Rocky Mountain Region – Global Worker

Dawn is from Calgary, Alberta and serves in many areas of ministry including youth ministry and global missions. Dawn serves as the Regional Trustee for ACOP’s Rocky Mountain region

Rev. Peter Barbour
Central Region – Pastor

Peter pastors the Aylmer Full Gospel Church in Alymer, Ontario. He serves as Regional Trustee for ACOP’s Central region.

Rev. Chad Billington
Québec & Maritime Region – Pastor

Chad is a member of the pastoral team at Smythe Street Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick. he serves as both the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and as the Regional Trustee for ACOP’s Québec and Maritime region.

Brian Gronberg
Trustee at Large

Brian is a recently retired entrepreneur and business man from Calgary, Alberta. He prestently serves on the Board of Trustees as a Trustee at Large.

Rayleen Nicolajsen
Trustee at Large

Rayleen is from Edmonton, Alberta and serves on the Board of Trustees as a Trustee at Large.

Tyler Clark
Trustee at Large

Tyler is a businessman from Regina, Saskatchewan. He serves on the Board as a Trustee at Large.

Darla Matchett
Administrator & Corporate Secretary

Darla has been a member of our staff since 1998 and has served in many positions over the course of those 20+ years. She became ACOP’s Administrator in  2006 and has since been responsible for the oversight of our finances, office management, corporate secretary, event coordinator and numerous other tasks.

National Apostolic Team

The National Apostolic Team is made up of the President, Administrator and 5 Regional Directors. The role of this team is to serve as an extention of the ministry of the President, assisting in implementing the vision, goals and strategies that will enable ACOP to fulfill its mission and vision.

Darla has been a member of our staff since 1998 and has served in many positions over the course of those 20+ years. She became ACOP’s Administrator in  2006 and has since been responsible for the oversight of our finances, office management, corporate secretary, event coordinator and numerous other tasks.

Rev. Rod Barks
Regional Director

Rod had pastored several churches across Western Canada before joinging the National Apostolic Team as the Regional Director of the Central Region. In 2016 Rod and his wife Cheryl move from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to launch a church planting initiative in the Greater Toronto Area. They Currently live in Milton, Ontario, providing leadership to the Ontario NewChurch Network.

Rev. Cal Ellerby
Regional Director

Besides having pastored a number of churches, Cal is an entrepreneur, business owner, and a published author. He currently ministers as the senior pastor at teh High River Full Gospel Church in High River, Alberta and serves as the Regional Director of the Rocky Mountain Region.

Rev. Dan MacNaughton
Regional Director

Dan is a long-time ACOP member with extensive experience as both a pastor and a businessman. He has served as the Regional Director for the Prairie region since 2019.

Rev. Stan Powers
Regional Director

Stan has ministered as a church planter and a pastor for several years before accepting his current position as Regional Director of the Pacific region. He is also serving as a Global Worker under Global Harvest Missions, travelling to various countries in Africa several times a year.

Rev. Kenn Parker
Regional Director

Kenn has pastored churches across Canada, literally from coast to coast, and has ministered extensively all over the world. Kenn has been a part of the national Apostolic Team since 2008 as the Church Planting Director before being appointed as the Regional Director of the Québec and Maritime Region in 2017.

Canadian Leadership Team

The Canadian Leadership team is comprised os the National Apostolic Team, the Missions Directors, Church Planting Catalyst, Next Generation Catalyst and the Director of United Youth Outreach. The provides oversight to various ACOP ministries.

Jerry & Brenda S.
Missions Directors

As a young couple, Jerry and Brenda first served as Global Workers in several countries throughout Africa. After moving back to Canada in 2010 they assumed their roles as ACOP Missions Directors. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all of ACOP’s missions activities and Global Wrokers across the world.

Kim Cooper
Next-Gen Catalyst

Kim was appointed as ACOP’s Next Generation Catalyst in 2019. Her role is to be ACOP’s representative to young leaders and to bring a next generation perspective to the various ministries throughout ACOP.

Rev. Larry Moore
United Youth Outreach – Executive Director

Larry pastored for a number of years before becoming the Executive Director of Apostolic Youth Ministries Internation (AYMI), now known as United Youth Outreach.

Office Team

The ACOP office is located in Calgary, Alberta, just south of the Calgary International Airport. The office houses several dedicated staff members who diligently serve our members and churches.

Susan Melle
Receptionist

Susan is our Receptionist and the pleasant voice you hear when you call into the ACOP office. Along with her front desk duties, Susan handles all of our incoming donations, manages member files, maintains our current records, event registrations and various other administrative responsibilities.

Miranda Himmelspeck
Bookkeeper & Missions Administration Assistant

Miranda has served as our Bookkeeper since Aufgust of 2005 and handles all of the accounting, payroll, accounts payable and recievable duties. As our Missions Administration Assistant, Miranda is on the frontlines of communication with our Global Workers that are deployed around the world.
