Street Invaders 2025 was a huge success, and we are so thankful for each person who lifted our students up in prayer and for each of the churches who welcomed them in. This year we had a total of 51 students, 16 staff, and 5 missions, with representation from BC, AB, SK and MB!
We hosted our Mission Training week in Regina at the Regina Apostolic Church; during this week the students grew in their faith and were equipped with ways to share their faith and to grow as a disciple outside of the program.
The second week of the program had our students traveling to North Battleford, Lloydminster, Nipawin, Regina, Kipling, and Grenfell to serve a church in that community. We saw the Lord move greatly in the hearts of the students, stirring in them a hunger to minister to the lost and those who have grown weary in their faith. There were countless testimonies of the way Jesus moved on mission, but here are just a couple:
One of our teams encountered a broken-down truck, which had a busted transmission. The team decided to pray that the Lord would fix the transmission. After they prayed for the vehicle, the owner was able to start it and drive away!
Another team, after having supper at someone’s house, offered to pray for the owner and their child who had many sleep issues. Later in the week the team was informed that the night they prayed for that child was the first time they slept through the night in many years!
Lastly, while out evangelizing, a team decided to go to some basketball courts and hang out with the people there. One student was shooting hoops with another young man when he noticed that the guy’s shot was a little off. When asked about it, the man said that he injured his elbow and hasn’t been able to play the same since. After praying for the man, he began making all of his shots. The student said that he had a big smile on his face.
The Lord is moving in this generation, and it was a privilege to bear witness to that fact over the course of the program. Please keep all of the students in your prayers as they go back to school and have their faith put into practice. Pray that they would encounter Jesus daily and have boldness to share what he has done in their lives over the summer!
