Church Plant in St. Thomas, ON #
On Saturday Aug. 2, Jesus Kingdom Family Ministries (JKFM) was officially launched in St. Thomas, ON. This is the vision of Rev. Afraz and Zandra Mohammed, who were installed as the church pastors at that time.
Besides those from the community, attendees came from Toronto, London, Aylmer, St. Catharines, Ohio, and Trinidad to celebrate the launch.
Pastor Afraz shared his vision and heart to found and reach this growing community of 43,000, which is expected to experience rapid growth when a new Volkswagen battery ‘gigafactory’ opens in 2027.
The Mohammeds’ former Pastor, Peter Felix, shared a promising message from God’s Word.
Regional Directors, Peter and Helene Barbour, led the induction as well as the prayer and commissioning of the Mohammeds, alongside Pastor Felix and other area ACOP pastors in attendance. The prayers and prophetic words from this eldership were powerful and encouraging!
Following the service, a beautiful dinner and time of fellowship was enjoyed by all!
A week before the official launch of the church, two individuals were baptized in water. Definitely off to a promising start!
Jesus Kingdom Family Ministries presently meets in the St. Thomas Christian Church every Saturday evening. Keep the Mohammeds and JKFM St. Thomas in your prayers! St. Thomas is situated 15 minutes south of London and 15 minutes west of Aylmer.
