Congratulations to Rev. Verner Drost! #

On Wednesday, March 22 our very own Rev. Verner Drost was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee award.

The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (New Brunswick) was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The medal honours The Queen and her lifelong service to Canada, as well as those residents of New Brunswick who, like Her Majesty, have been exemplary in their service to others.

We bless you, Verner, as you continue to serve your community with grace and hope!

The Well—Rev. Dennis & Pam Sisco #

On Saint Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2023, I had the great honour to attend the special occasion of the Grand Opening of The Well Canada and in particular, Dawn’s House, which is a new Women’s Residential Recovery & Wellness Centre located in Central New Brunswick. Rev. Dennis & Pam Sisco are the Executives of this wonderful ministry.

Among other community members, there were officials from Justice & Public Safety. The celebration started with a tour of Dawn’s House where guests explored both levels of the home. Wow! You talk about things done with excellence! All the rooms reflected the huge value that they are placing on each resident.

The tour was followed by a short program and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  There were some very moving opening remarks shared by Dave O’Leary, President of the Mannacare Foundation; he and his wife Paula are founders of The Well.

Other dignitaries included Mike Johnston, Assistant Deputy Minister of Justice & Public Safety; Chris Hood, Deputy Superintendent NB Women’s Correctional Centre; MP Richard Bragdon; Rev. Joe Beesley, and myself.

There is no question that the hand of God is on this ministry and we are looking forward to hearing of the great miracles and changed lives.

Celebration of Life Malcolm Stewart MacKenzie #

Thanks so much to each one who has expressed support, prayers, and love for the family at this time as we grieve our loss.

We have chosen to hold a private family service on Saturday, April 8th, at 10:30 am. This link will allow you to virtually join us to celebrate his life.

Stan King Celebration of Life #

There will be a Stan King Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Eston Full Gospel Church.

Stan is an alumnus of FGBI from the 1940s and a long-standing member of ACOP. He and his wife Phyllis served as pioneer missionaries for over 40 years in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Many people came to Christ and many churches were established through their ministry and that of their missionary colleagues. Those churches are now all served by nationals—all praise to the Lord!

Friendly Reminders #

Leading in ministry is highly demanding and extremely stressful – so much so that it’s common for leaders and their spouses to struggle with discouragement, burnout and relational issues.

As a member of ACOP you have access to Focus on the Family Clergy Care.
